A mandated, High Fidelity Simulation Course aimed specifically for IMT 2 trainees on rotation at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
A stimulating opportunity to become immersed in technical and non-technical acute medical skills in a safe and non-judgemental learning environment. These medically acute scenarios are designed to challenge decision making, situational awareness and human factor skills. IMT 2 Candidates are Deanery funded to attend.
Course Objectives:
Learn and demonstrate essential clinical and non-technical skills recognise when to escalate medical emergencies and make appropriate referralsDeliver effective resuscitation management techniques and enhance effective communication with patients, family members and the MDTReflect on and discuss the non-technical skills and human factors that may influence clinical management
