Central Venous Catheter Training Programme

This ½ day course will teach you both theoretical and practical aspects of central venous
catheterisation and will provide you with both the knowledge and the skills to perform this procedure safely and competently. Our hands on course will be supervised by experienced faculty members and will include the use of ultrasound.

  • Surgical anatomy and ultrasonography
  • Indications and device selection
  • Procedural techniques
  • Complications and post procedure care
  • Demonstration of procedure
  • Opportunity to practice in a simulated environment supervised by experienced faculty

    Trainees in all specialities (12 spaces available)

    Fees
    Internal candidates £75 (internal trainees will be able to recover this fee through the restoration fund)
    External candidates £125 

    GMC and NMC numbers must be provided
