Using our state-of-the-art facilities and highly experienced faculty we have developed this in demand useful and practical hands-on course, to meet all your learning needs on the multi-disciplinary management of neurosurgical patients. We have a full whole day programme consisting of lectures, workstations, and simulations. Lectures will be on hyperacute stroke management, TBI, postoperative neuro surgical emergencies. Skills stations are focussed on troubleshooting EVD’s, patient positioning and the management of cardiac arrest in prone positioning. Complementing this course, we have developed high fidelity MDT simulations which you will be a part of, playing in role. As a team you will be debriefed after by highly trained experts in this field. Certificate of attendance will be provided detailing the course content and 5 CPD points.

Course Objectives

This course has been developed to give the MDT involved in the care and management of neuro patients a chance to learn and work together in a safe environment. To increase patient safety outcomes. To address areas that you as a practitioner might not be confident with and to enhance soft skills such as team working, communication, delegation as well as more technical issues like medical management and unexpected events. These sessions are lead and debriefed by highly experienced, neuro specialists and debrief trained faculty.
