  This two day Temporal Bone Dissection course with both Microscope and Endoscope dissection is ideal for specialist registrars, core trainees or an update for the specialists in ENT.

10 CPD points

 

The course seeks to improve the surgical skill and anatomical knowledge of participants through a series of dissection exercises using both endoscopes and microscopes.
This includes tympanoplasty and mastoidectomy.

The Centre offers state of the art facilities including;

• Endoscope and Microscopes
• Surgical dissection equipment and drills
• HD screens
• Dedicated experienced faculty with an excellent trainee to tutor ratio

Day 1 (Junior Trainees) - May be subject to change

08:50 – 09:00   Welcome and Introduction with Simon Ford

09:00 – 09:15   Endoscopic anatomy - Ms Emma Hoskison

09:15 – 09:45   Endoscopic Tympanoplasty /Ossiculoplasty/Stapedotomy  - Ms Emma Hoskison

09:45 – 10:15 Cortical mastoidectomy and extended cortical - Mr John Murphy

10:15 – 12:30  Work station - Endoscopic procedures, cortical mastoidectomy and extended cortical.

12:30 – 13:00  Lunch

13:00 – 13:30   Canal wall down Mastoidectomy, obliteration procedures and posterior tympanotomy - Mr Matthew Trotter

13:30 – 13:45  Bone Conduction hearing aids - Mr Mohamed Shaker

13:45 – 17:30  Work station - Canal wall down Mastoidectomy, obliteration procedures, posterior tympanotomy and Bone Conduction hearing aids
