Advanced Cadaveric Strabismus Course

 

The Advanced Cadaveric Strabismus course is aimed at Consultant and Strabismus Fellows.

The aim is to give delegates the opportunity over 2 days to perform advanced strabismus techniques which they are likely to require as a strabismus consultant. You will be expected to be able to perform routine recess and recess without tuition as this course requires a level of basic experience. Techniques which will be discussed and practiced on this course will include, the approach to the superior oblique, third nerve palsies, high myopia, as well as transposition and plication techniques.

Faculty will include Saurabh Jain and Manoj Paruleker who are renowned internationally for their strabismus experience.

Each delegate will have one head (two eyes) to operate on and their own operating station in excellent facilities. Much of the learning is by discussion amongst the experienced faculty and delegates regarding their own techniques and experiences.

The course is limited to 16 operating places and there will be a very limited number of observer places per day.

The course, now in its 4th year is granted 13 CPD points by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
